SmartGrocery ("the App") is designed with a simple privacy principle: we collect only what we need to make the App work, and we don't sell, share, or monetize your data in any way.

WHAT WE COLLECT

When you create an account, the App stores:

• Your email address (for sign-in)
• Your display name and household name (optional, set during onboarding)
• Your shopping lists, pantry items, categories, stores, essentials, receipts (store, total, date, category), and spend records — the data you put into the App
• Household member labels — names and avatar colors you create within your household. These are display labels only; they do not represent separate user accounts.

That's all. We don't collect your contacts, location, photos, browsing history, or any device identifiers beyond what's needed for sign-in to work.

WHERE YOUR DATA IS STORED

The App uses Supabase (Supabase Inc., supabase.com) as our database and authentication provider. Your data is stored on Supabase's secure infrastructure on our behalf. Supabase processes your data only to provide the database and auth services we use — they do not use it for any other purpose. Their privacy policy: https://supabase.com/privacy

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The App uses no advertising networks, no third-party analytics, no marketing trackers, and no crash reporting services. There are no SDKs that send data to anyone outside Supabase.

WHAT WE DON'T DO

• We don't sell your data
• We don't share it with advertisers or data brokers
• We don't use it to train AI models
• We don't profile you or your household
• We don't track you across other apps or websites
